Jubilee Celebrations at Coven Heath

Local residents of Coven Heath celebrated the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee on Tuesday 5 June with a commemorative oak tree and a toast to the Queen.

Although the weather was not what may have been reasonable to expect for June the scene was brightened by locals turning out dressed in red, white and blue.

Thanks go to Dave and Tony for their contribution in mounting the plaque and planting the tree.

Allotments - Accessibility

The Coven Heath Allotments Association continues to be pro-active in identfying ways of further enhancing the allotments in Ball Lane. Discussions are currently in progress with Members of Brewood and Coven Parish Council with Bishops Wood and Coven Heath to consider the availability of allotments for re-allocation and the requirement for raised beds that could provide access for the disabled and smaller than usual taster plots for those new to allotments and young people who want to 'give it a try'.

As the tenancy renewals for 2012/2013 are finalised hopefully more news will be available soon. If you are interested in the possibility of a taster plot or an allotment that supports access for the disabled please use 'Contact Us' above.
